Perfect Plants was founded in 1986 in the owner's garage in Sherman Oaks. His goal was to provide the highest quality work with the best customer service in the landscape industry. His employees are trained not only in how to maintain landscapes, upgrade irrigation systems, and trim trees, but in how to treat customers as well. His certifications include a graduate degree in horticulture as well as contractor, pest control, and arborist licenses.
Joshua Siskin, the owner, holds a master's degree in horticulture from UC Davis. He writes the longest running weekly gardening column in the United States, which has been published in the Los Angeles Daily News for the past 16 years.
For many years, the owner was a landscaping instructor at West Valley Occupational Center in Woodland Hills and a teacher for UCLA's horticultural certificate program in Westwood.
